Atlantic City is a famous fun city in New Jersey of United States. It is well known for shopping and gambling. It is situated on the coast of Atlantic Ocean, on an island called Absecon. It is connected by three routes. They are Black Horse Pike/Harding Highway, White Horse Pike and the Atlantic City Express Way. The city legalized gambling in 1976. Soon the city became a resort town. It has many attractions to lure tourists.
Atlantic City beaches have a plethora of fun filled activities to choose from. They are clean and most of them are free. There are various day and night seaside activities. Apart from the usual swimming and sunbathing surfing is a main attraction at Crystal Beach, Downtown Beach and Delaware Beach. You can take surfing lessons here. Jackson Avenue Beach has facilities for Windsurfing and Kayaking. No bathing is allowed here. They charge nothing. You have to carry your own equipment. Lifeguards are not posted in these beaches.
Many hotels that are near sea offer Beach Volleyball nets. Beach Volleyball is played regularly on the Atlantic City beaches. Body surfing is allowed on every bathing beach. Boogies Boards are also welcome on many bathing beaches. You can enjoy fishing on the Oriental Avenue and off Boardwalk. You need not have any fishing license for salt water fishing here. On special days like Memorial Day, Labor Day and July 4th they permit grilling provided the grills use charcoal.
One can avail the services of Beach Chair rentals. One can rent a bike and ride on the Boardwalk in specified times. During season, from May to September you can have your favorite drink and snacks in any of the beach side bars. One can enjoy a leisurely walk through Boardwalk. The Atlantic City Boardwalk gives us a flavor of the city. One can shop and dine. There are dozens of casinos and other attractions in the city. Here are some top beaches in Atlantic City. Mississippi Avenue Beach is located near the Boardwalk in front of Trump Plaza. It offers restrooms, beach bar, lifeguard and parking facilities. Boston Avenue Beach is in front of Hilton Casino with a wide stretch of white sand. In front of Chelsea Atlantic City Hotel one can find Chelsea Avenue Beach.
